Grandpap's Vintage Camera 1 Daily Oil Painting

6" x 6", oil on linen mounted on panel/SOLD on Etsy

I painted this using one of my Grandfather's vintage cameras as a model. I inherited three of his cameras when he passed away a few years ago. He was a Pennsylvania coal miner and the only member of my family with any artistic ability - drawing. He loved his wife and daughters, and it makes me smile to think about how many of the boxes of old photos we have were taken with this camera.
