I am a fervent lover of comic books and many nostalgic toys and games from my childhood, so this painting request was just perfect for me. I used my husband's vintage NES and Batman issue with cover art by the great Jim Lee to pull this together for an old friend. I loved that I was able to get all of these elements in just an 8" x 8" space. I hope to do many more similarly-themed pieces soon, focused on some of my own comic book collection.
